Proton Pass has built-in support for importing your passwords and other data from the Safari browser for macOS. This process has two stages:

1. Export your passwords and other data from Safari

2. Import your exported passwords into Proton Pass

How to export from Safari

1. Open Safari and go to the menu bar → SafariSettings…Passwords tab and verify your identity using Touch ID or your Mac’s password.

Unlock your Safari passwords

2. Click to the left of the Search bar → Export All Passwords…

Export all passwords

3. A warning box will appear. Click Export Passwords… to continue. You may get asked to confirm your identity again via Touch ID or your Mac’s password. Your passwords will be saved as a file called passwords.csv in your Downloads folder.
