Using Proton Drive

When using certain input methods or keyboards to suggest changes in Docs in Proton Drive, you might receive an “Input mode not supported” message.

What does “input mode not supported” mean?

If you see this message, it means that your input method or keyboard uses settings or a language that Docs in Proton Drive cannot fully process for suggestions at this time.

For example, some languages use complex character sets or require special input techniques which are not compatible with suggesting mode’s current capabilities.

What to do if you see this message

  1. Open the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the document editor.
  2. Select Editing to make direct changes instead of suggestions.

In editing mode, you can freely make changes, however they will not appear as suggestions and will alter the original text.

Supported input modes

Docs in Proton Drive’s suggesting mode currently supports a range of common input methods and languages. However, if your language or input method is not supported, this limitation may impact your ability to use this feature. Our team is actively working to expand support and we appreciate your patience as we make improvements.
